    i forgot my windows 2000 password when comp starts up....what do i do

    User account or Admin account?

    If this is your system, at home, not a business system, then the quickest and easiest way would be to delete the partition and reload W2K.

    (I know - all data gone... there is another longer AND ( possibly ) MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE method, but being its a passwords issue, and I have no way to verify your legal right to access this system, I can not assist you. - I will say - It can be done.)

    If its just a user password, and someone still has access as admin then it can be fixed rather easily and without any data loss or disruption.
