    Win ME
    outlook express
    IE 6

I have norton protected recycle bin , and it gives me the following message frequently.

Are you sure you want to delete "folders.dbx" on drive c ?

I say yes, and evrything is fine, except that it reoccurs when ever I open and delete the recycle bin the next time , after a couple of days.

I have no idea where this file is coming from, or what it is about. I never actually see and delete a file by this name.

Where is it coming from, and how can I get rid of it ?

    Thank's

rjd--I cannot really help you, but just some information.
Folders.dbx is part of Outlook Express. It normally resides in C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Express .
Based on the following, it is no problem if you delete it since it will be recreated when you reboot.

Is Folders.dbx actually in the Recycle Bin when you get this message? What happens if you disable Norton protection of the Recycle Bin?
P.S. Perhaps some interesting info here also

but nothing on the message you are getting.
