Hello all..from time to time, like when I back up a file to my Floppy Drive I get that noise that the Floppy makes. Its not a sound like its broke, its the sound like its engaging  Its making the noise at random times now. Like if I click my mouse, click a link on website, etc.
Can someone tell me where I can set the "A Drive" to stop making that noise?
    Thanks in advance...

Paul this could be a sign of a legit program you are running at the time trying to find a file on the floppy.

But it could also be a sign of a virus at worse or spy/adware at least.

So run a full deep virus scan, do an online scan in addition just to keep your local scanner honest!

Then run the latest SpyBot to get the spy/adware.

I've seen you on the BBS for some time I presume you already have the SpyBot.

Additionally I would do a deep clean of temps!

Still there after this get back.

Thanks mflynn for replying to my question. I do have ad-aware 6.0 on my PC and everything was fine there. I agree with you about using an on-line anti-virus scan from time to time. I use and like greatly my Norton anti-Virus 2002. I use Tauscan's on-line products from time to time to check out my reliability of NAV. Its a pretty good Trojan checker to. I have AT&T Broadband Cable Internet so I also use a Firewall, Zone Alarm Pro.
Well everything turned out fine. NO Virus's showed up and my noise has stopped for time being. It has come from time to time in the past (always after I save something to floppy) but the noise is gone now. I'll have to watch it,,thanks for all the help Mike.
A Happy Easter to you and yours...:)
    Thanks ~~Paul~~
