    Welcome to the Forum, hey_suburbia!

    Hi hey_suburbia,

You don't say which browser you use, or for which browsers you want to add the Search Engine.

I know nothing of programming, and you would be better served to check out
    THIS SITE or THIS SITE

    Thanks for the reply.

I wasn't clear in my first post, sorry...

There already is a search function on the site, If you go to: "Message Board" -> "Search Messages "

I just wanted to create a search engine in firefox (like the ebay or google ones), that take an existing search form and use it in the firefox toolbar.

If you go to the site and type something in the message field (in the search) you'll get results, basically I just want to replicate that in the drop down search engine in firefox.

This is what ebay's looks like:

I've tried tutorials, but I couldn't get it.....

    Any suggestions??? THANKS
