A recently disclosed vulnerability in the Firefox 3.5 web browser forced the Mozilla Firefox development team to release version 3.5.1 of the web browser early to fix the vulnerability. The vulnerability, which is affecting all operating systems that Firefox can be installed on, is linked to the Firefox JavaScript Tracemonkey engine. A temporary fix was published soon after that would disable part of the Javascript engine.

The Mozilla Firefox team is currently distributing the Firefox 3.5.1 update to all mirror websites. It is expected to be announced publicly in the next 48 hours giving Firefox 3.5 users a change to update their web browser to fix the security vulnerability.

If you don't want to wait, you can get it here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

I highly recommend to apply this update not only for security, but to knock out some additional bugs/performance issues I was experiencing with v3.5.0.
I was getting hit a number of times with no physical page load when clicking on a new link. This appears to be fixed in v3.5.1, as stated in bug history and for my computer. ... most appreciated Mozilla / Firefox team.:)

I did the incremental update (Help|Check for Updates) of 1.8 MB, but the operation took me several times longer than starting with a new install file. The download was uneventful, but after restarting Firefox, I got the message that the update failed because another instance of Firefox was open (none was) or I needed to restart the system. It did this twice, and the the old Firefox showed up with a new Help|Apply downloaded files.
I restarted Firefox, and it installed the update.
