When I had a Visioneer scanner, it had their software that would allow me to scan a form and then have it come up on screen for me to fill it in.

Without having a typewriteer, filling forms means using a pen and I would like to use my computer for that too.

Is there any software that will allow me to scan with my Canon and fill it in?

I don't do a lot of forms but I found that Presto Forms 3.0 works for me. The only thing is you must scan it in using black & white or line art . If you need color forms this will not do the job. What I like about it is when you scan the form it comes right up and you can fill it out. With some others I have used you have to save the form first and then you can open it up and fill it out.

TextBridge is just one of many apps that will convert a scanned image into text.

Search for "OCR software" (Optical Character Recognition) with any search engine to find many more.

You will find that many of these programs are not scanner-specific. In other words, if you have a textbridge program on another CD that came with a scanner, it may work with your present scanner.
