Is there a trick to specify a directory structure for converting the "FROM" files without booting the system? I have a strange situation where I can't boot ME but have a working XP that I just installed. The ME HD is competely readable (it is on the XP machine) but I can't figure out how to tell the file transfer wizard to use that HD even though it is not the boot volume. Any suggestions? I suppose I could do it manually, if I knew what to move, where, but I suspect the formats are different. TIA.

The problem is that the transfer wizard expects to be running with the old version booted and looks in the associated file system for the information to be transfered. My problem is that I cannot boot the old version but I have the directory on a secondary HD. I simply want to tell the wizard not to look at the booted windows directory structure but rather a structure I point to.
