    Hi All.
I tried out a couple of apps which allow friends and family to
access a folder on this Win98SE PC.
Basically, they work fine. The snag is, each time I connect to the
internet, my ISP changes the url of my PC. So my url I sent
to my friend yesterday is no longer correct and he cannot connect.
Do you know of a solution to this ?
    regards

Contact your ISP and see if you can purchase a "static IP. "

    Thanks for your post Steve.
I have written to my ISP asking about a static address and will
    post back with their reply.
    regards

If you and your family have Yahoo messenger the file sharing feature works quite well. While I was watching the football playoffs, one of my friends was able to download 65MB of my files on dial up without any disconnects or my presence at the computer. Yahoo messenger is free. http://messenger.yahoo.com/
