    Working with Server 2003.

The server has several folders shared. I want to restrict access for one particular user. This is simple enough on two of the folders but the third contains all users folders of which there are a lot. If I restrict him on the top level this is inherited to his own user folder.

Unless I restrict him individually to each user folder - and there are lots:eek:- can anyone suggest a better way?

You could apply the security to the top level folder and then share out just his folder to him and map it in.
In the security settings you set the folder to not inherit the parent folder perms.
