    My Son put our family history in word 2000 on a CD I have Abiword. and when I try to read the CB it comes up scrambled. is the any way I can make Abiword compatible with Word 2000 I tried Google And they had several Ways to change it . I tried one an it threw a virus which AVG caught I tried another on and it through another which AVG caughr. Anyon cn help? Thanks

    Have you got the latest version installed? Neil.

    You might take a look at How to obtain the latest Word Viewer
    I've not had occasion to use it as I have had Office installed for many years.
