Sorry to have to post another note.
I looked through the threads and found a way of removing NView - many thanks.

However, I now get a message C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\FHMKOKMC.EXE appears to be corrupt. Rinstall and try again.

Sorry, I am a dumbo, but what does this mean and how do I reinstall it please?

Still hoping for a remedy on my other prob of freezing.

What are you doing or trying to do at the time this message pops up? Have you run an anti-virus scan recently?

Hi, Im not trying to do anything really, just start the pc up.

Ive just spent a pleasant hour or so trying to remove NView from Start Up and it keeps returning - any ideas?

How do I run a scan for viruses? I have Mcafees on there as standard I think.
