I have an old Compaq external zip drive that uses the PCMCIA slot. It's from a compaq laptop that used Win 3.1.

I now have a new Dell laptop with Win XP Media Center.

I tried to use the zip drive with the new dell. It did recognize it but it won't work because I have no driver. I tried using generic drivers on the Dell but no go.

Where can I download a generic or Compaq driver for this old zip drive to work with my new Dell?

    Thank you

sorry for taking a while to get back here...

The zip drive is a Compaq Series 2833

If the drive is similar to Omega's zip drives, they have an XP update driver...
