I have a external hardisk, but i cannot safe or paste any file in there, and i also cannot read the file in there and appear an error message. When safe file in there :Invalid...When paste file in there :cannot copy ccleaner:cannot find specific file. Make sure you specific the correct path and file name. When i restart my computer, it became usable again. After a few minute later it became unuseable and even can scan for virus by using AVG antivirus. I also test it on other computer but came out with same result. How to make it back normal?

There may be a problem with the drive - has it worked OK previously?

I suggest you test the drive with the manufacturer's disk diagnostic software ....

    ExcelStore ....
    http://www.excelstor.com/en/download.asp
    Hitachi/IBM .....
    http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm
    Samsung ....
    http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hdd/support/utilities/Support_HUTIL.html
    Seagate, Maxtor, Quantum .....
    http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/
    Western Digital ....
    http://support.wdc.com/download/

If you do not know the make of the drive contained in the external case that information should be shown in Device Manager or alternatively in Everest (Storage > Physical Drives)

    From a PM ....
The instructions for use are on the page I posted .....

You create either a boot disk or a boot CD and boot the computer from that ....

    Hutil 210 (For FDD).exe (Size : 437 KB)
Hutil 210 ISO (For CD ROM Drive).zip (Size : 1.5MB)

Hopefully it will recognise your external drive.

Read the menu's very carefully - you need to run the Disk Diagnostics only - note the recommendation to backup your data before testing.

Rereading your first post you say ....
Before you run the disk diagnostics I think it a good idea to reinstall the USB controllers and root hubs .....

Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers ....

Expand by clicking on the + sign and then right click on each entry > Uninstall. Reboot and Windows will reinstall the drivers, etc. Then test out your external drive before running the disk diagnostics.
