    Hi,
Is there any way to EXPORT messages from Netscape 7.2? I've been using the mail client that comes with Netscape 7.2 (Imap I believe), and want to back up/save all my messages and export them in one file if I can. If I switch email programs, will I be able to import to Outlook or Incredimail or anything else?

    Thanks,
    Brian

The mail client will manage your accounts, usually POP. IMAP accounts are, generally server based, meaning that no mail may be saved on your computer, as such. However, I have been able to save IMAP mail by moving the messages to a POP account. IMAP mail is more often than not a Webmail, in first place.
So, the mail client does not have a particular format, but the accounts, from the different ISPs do. There is no Export function, as such, and, it would you no good with Outlook, which does not recognize the existance of these new mail client. You would have to set up an account in NS4.x, and then, import the mail from it .

You could always just create a new folder (savedmail) and then you do a select all of the mail in your inbox and choose copy to >>Savedmail.
Then do the export of the contents.

I guess that my reply never took effect. But, I did test Pete's idea.
If I selected a bunch of e-mails, the File|Save was grayed out, but if I selected individual e-mails, the e-mail would be save in .eml format, which is OE's.
Of course, one can save the Inbox, and the e-mails would be readable in .txt format.
