    Hi

I have a small network on Server 2003. The server acts as DHCP and DNS. I have two client pc's that I want to allow internet access but NOT access to server or shared folders other clients etc.

I know I can hide any shared folders but these users are inquisitive enough to try to work around so I would prefer another method. Is it possible to manually configure IP address to achieve this without affecting the rest of the network? If done as Administrator I can prevernt users from making changes later.

    Thanks in avance

You should be able to restrict access to shared folder to only the people that know the correct password.

That seems a long winded way to do it but do you think it's the best way. As I see it this way you share certain folders and then give (or withold) permissions to users. I can see that this would be useful if users with access start using other clients but these clients are not going to do that. All they really need is internet access.

Would they be better off the domain?
