I created a backup folder inside the Erunt folder.
When i clicked on the Erunt icon (a red "Eru "), it created the backup data
plus a lot of other files.

If i ever have to restore the reg i need to click the Green "Eru" icon?

I suggest you do some regular registry backups particularly after system changes and updates, as well a keeping the original backup as an emergency. Remember to choose a different location for subsequent backups, 'else you'll just overwrite the original one.

Just keep good backups, and documentation of your settings. The inevitable will eventually happen, but you've taken steps to reduce the severity when it does. ;)

    Hi All:

Question: After using erunt for Reg backup, then some new stuff installed or other changes, then restore prior backup, what happens to the newly installed stuff, programs, new image files, etc.? Will that stuff still be accessable, or will reverted settings wipe 'em out??

    Martin,
If an older registry backup is overwritten to the registry then any newlt installed programme that made changes to the registry will need reinstalling. The install folder will probably be there but won't work as the registry settings will have gone. Some (small) programmes don't write to the registry, so these will still work. But they are few. Image and data files will be OK.

Thanks Paul, that makes sense, I should have figured that one out myself.
