I've tried to search through the forum, yet cannot see any similar problem.
My printer was able to print normally from both local and network terminals. But now, don't know for what reason, it suddenly just can't print ANY document, including the test page.

My PC is running on Windows XP SP1.
My printer is Panasonic KXP3626 dot matrix.
I've followed the printer troubleshooting steps as closely as possible, yet non of the suggestions there fix the problem.

These are the things that I have tried:
    - Uninstall and reinstall the printer driver
    - Delete LPT port and reboot
    - Changing cable
    - Make sure printer in good condition (I tested the printer with another PC, it works perfectly)
    - Try printing to network printer (works fine)

But still, when i try to print test page, the printer status is always "Error-Printing ". So, it shouldn't be the printer problem, I think it's something wrong with the PC right? any suggestion for fixing this problem? Or what else information should I provide to further assist me in solving this issue?

    Thanks

You appear to have eliminated most of the possibilites, but there is one thing I would investigate.....

The print spool may be corrupt - I don't know if the network printer uses the same print spool or not, if it does then this suggestion is null and void.

Make a folder on your hard drive - Print Spool

Go Control Panel > Printers & Faxes > File > Server Properties > Advanced

Note the location of the existing Print Spool and then enter the path to the folder you created above and OK out.

    See if that works.

Thanks for the information. However, the spooling thing is not the problem.
I finally figured out the problem and fixed it already.
Suddenly thought of checking the on board parallel port setting and went into BIOS, and there you go..the parallel port was initially disabled. After enable it, everything works fine like before. I just don't know how can this happen..(actually I am not the user of both PC and printer)
