Error 1324

When I try to install Itunes, IPod or NAV, I get Erro 1324. There's a illegal character in my My Documents Folder. One of my drives had bad sectors so I recovered the drive but since then, these programmes won't work and when I try to reinstall, I get the Error 1324 message.

i thought to reinstall the OS but going from XP Pof to XP Home and I am told the version (XP Home) is older so I can't install

Help I am getting very frustrated

If I were you, I won't downgrade from Pro to Home.

For resolution of your current problem, start by running chkdsk /f on hard disk. If it doesn't solves anything, have a look at http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108470.
