It is most likely a hard drive problem, but it may be a different hardware problem also. "The Stop 0x7A message indicates that a page of kernel data was not found in the paging (virtual memory) file and could not be read into memory. This might be due to incompatible disk or controller drivers, firmware, or hardware. "

Boot into Safe Mode (I believe you should be able to do this) by hitting F8 early and often.

    Open "My Computer "
    Right-click on Drive C, Properties
Use the Tool tab, top box, to schedule error checking. Mark both options. A restart of you computer will be required.

Step #2, be sure your backup plans are good. Do a complete backup or use the Automated System Recovery feature of XP: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=818903

My best would be that the drive is failing. Look in Device Manager to find out the drive manufacturer, and head to their web site to download a setup/diagnostic utility if one is available. Test the drive. If error cdes are thrown during testing please write them down.

. If you computer is still under warranty, call the computer manufacturer.
. If not, call the Tech Support folks at the drive manufacturer. Typicly your drive warranty is longer than your System Warranty.

    .
