    Hi folks -

I've got a couple of questions that I hope one (or more) of you can help me with. I tend to change hardware (particularly hard drives) rather frequently and I'm wondering if/whether I could do the following and, if so, what specific steps I'd have to take.

    1) Copy XP to another HD and install from there.
    2) Embed the serial number so I don't have to have it in front of me each time.
    3) Since I'm not using SCSI or a number of other options that get copied from the Windows Cd, is there any way to delete them from the cd copied to the HD (#1 above)?
    4) Embed some of the settings like: Name, Internet options, etc.

Thanks for the assistance and I sure hope someone will tell me 'YES' and how to do all or at least some of the above! :)

This can be done using an answer file. Start here . Check all links and you might have to check for any updates to this. Answer files work nicely. You can create a batch file to run it.
