Email deleted.

Hi, one of my users has recently experienced some problems with Mozilla 1.6 mail. He tried to send an email and an error message appeared saying that it could not write to the sent mail folder. He then decided to compact the sent mail which he has done several times before without problems. After he did this all the email in his sent mail folder was gone. Any ideas why this happened or what I can do to retrieve the lost emails. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. We have found the missing e-mails, they were in an email folder called nstmp which was located in the mozilla mail folder but did not appear in the folder structure inside the mail client. We only found it because the date was today and we didnt recognize it. So we have renamed that folder and all is well now.

I still don't really know why that happened so if anyone knows please let me know. Thanks.
