email attachment problem

    I am opearting WIN ME with MSN 8 as my browser and use IE6.
    I belong to a windows support group in addition to this one, where I am a new member. Whenever the other group sends me an email with an attachment, I'm unable to open the attachment in either MSN 8 or IE 6.

    I contacted MSN and they were of no help. Does anyone have any ideas to solve this problem?

    Are you able to get email attachments from anyone?

    In OE Try Tools>Options>Security Tab and under virus protection select "restricted sites zone" and "Warn me when....." No check mark in "Do not Allow Attachments...... "

    Thanks for the tip. I believe I have tried it, but will check to mke sure. No, I do not receive attachments from anyone other than the support group. I'm not sure if they are in the html format, but I believe they are.
