I get a "blue screen of death" when I launch AOL 8.0 and choose to give it access with my firewall (sygate). The blue screen said that it is shutting down windows to prevent physical damage to my hardware, then it has a counter that is dumping my physical memory to the hard disk. What's goin on?

You will need to let it go to a Blue Screen where detailed information will be displayed. This means turning off the feature that causes a reboot when there is a STOP error.

    - right-click the My Computer option and select Properties.
    - Advanced tab then Startup & Recovery Settings and uncheck Automatically Restart
