Dumb Question ?

    Hi
    I have my computer to go into standby mode. I thought that at one time the power button turned "Amber ". The last time It went into standby the power button flashed.
    Can any one tell me which one it is supposed to do. and if not flashing does that mean there is a problem?
    It's a HP Pavilion 620 with XP HE SP2.

    Check your BIOS settings. I think under power management you may have the option to set whether the power LED flashes in standby. That's the setting I have my BIOS set for. Different settings for different MB's and BIOS's. As to why yours may have changed I have no idea. Perhaps a recent install may have changed a driver somewhere. Latest graphics drivers installed is recommended along with other cards such as a NIC (Network card) if you have one.
