Ok, Under other devices there is 2 entries of "IPMI interfaces" and "PCI serial Port" with yellow ! point next to them. How would I go abouts fixing this please? I appreciate your help. I tried updating both but it didn't find anything.

Also, When I use task scheduler to launch a program, it launches it as minimized. Is there a way to launch it maximized? If so, how, please?

    thx

I doubt it. You'd have to know what the devices are. Try running the hardware troubleshooter.

Control Panel > System and Security > Action Center > Trouble Shooting

    Sportsaholic,

As Arie has said, it's difficult/impossible to assist in your problem without knowing further information. If Arie's advice doesn't help can you post details of your computer, motherboard etc?

To identify your motherboard please download CPU-Z and save it to your Desktop. Unzip and run cpuz.exe.

Select the Mainboard tab and post the details that are in the Manufacturer and Model fields.

    Ok,

Your first stop should be here

After some reading (always good advice ;)) go to the tools and software tab and ensure you install latest drivers (ignore BIOS for now).

Once you've done that if you still have problems please post back.

After my computer is turned on and goes though its POST, my PC will sit with a blinking cursor in the top left hand corner of the screen for 3 minutes before it shows windows starting message on my screen and then from there it runs fine. It should not take 4 minutes to boot up.

Any ideas why Arie? Thx for helping.

Usually that's an indication of a network error. Check your network settings.
