downloading IE 7

This board helped me with my OE send problem that is now solved. I am hoping you can help with my latest problem.

I am trying to download IE7. The download icon appears in the right taskbar but when download is complete and installatin begins, I receive the error message "access denied ". This laptop is usually connected via comcast in MI but is, for the winter, connected to Embarq DSL in FL. Would this be a problem?

Hello Bev,

As an alternative and a better way to install IE7:

Download as a seperate install form here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx

Then install disconnected from the Net because the install works best if security programs are not running.

If you still get the "Access denied" message installing manually, post back, there may something wrong with your logon profile.

Thanks Charles. I did put PCcillian on off but it still did not work. I will try your suggestions and report back. I use yahoo as my browser and have wondered if this was causing the problem.

Outlook Express and IE7

I downloaded IE7 and now any internet links in the body of received emails will not work.

Fran. Welcome to the boards. Enjoy your stay. You should start a thread of your own and put OE links don't work in IE anymore. That way more people will see your problem. Thanks.
