I have been trying, off and on, for several months to download TweakUI and more specifically Imaghe Resizer from that utility. All I can get is a shortcut placed on Desktop than when clicked on re-installs that shortcut.

The shortcut's properties shows the file as "TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe "

The program does not install and gives me no option as to how to install it. I've tried downloading just TweakUI and then the Image Resizer but same thing happens.

    Anyone have a solution?

    Image Resizer

Thanks Arie but all that installed was a "Read Me" file. No resize option on pictures when I right click on them. I uninstalled and re-installed but to no avail.

Try installing TweakUI again and then try running it by clicking start>run and type in tweakui. A while back I ran into something similar on somebody elses computer. In that case, I tried to install it but it appeared it didn't install because there was no shortcut placed in the start menu. No matter what I tried I couldn't get it to work. In the end, even though it appeared to not install, for some reason I got the wild idea to try running it from the run line and to my surprise TweakUI opened right up. Apparently it installed but for some reason it wouldn't put the shortcut for it in the start menu. I never did try to find the reason why this happened. It ran from the run line and the lady the computer belonged to was happy with that, so that's where it ended. :)

Thanks Zander, I did as you suggested and while the install try thru start/run did not do the install, it apparently did put a "repair" component in the drop down menu from the shortcut on desktop. Clicking on the repair did seem to do the install and now all is well.

Thanks to all who helped. This has bugged me for some time. Makes resizing pictures a snap.
