    Using Win.XP Pro

    Hello'
Turned on my computer this morning. Looked like it was in Safe Mode. Color was faded out, icons were large, and scrambled. Went to Display Properties, settings tab, showed=
    Screen Reslution= 640x480 Pixels
    Color Quality= Lowest [ 4 bit ]
I changed resolution and color, click apply and OK. Goes right back to 640x480, and 4bit color. No matter what settings I use, it goes back to the same setting 640x480, and 4bit. Can't get on line. Says modem cannot find enough free resources that it can use. [code12 ]. Am on another Computer. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

It does sound like you're in safe mode. What happens when you reboot?

Since it affects the modem as well as the video, I suggest checking your memory with a program such as Windows Memory Diagnostics or similar.
