    Hi there,
Every time I try to open a new application on my PC I keep getting the message 'a required .Dll file, ODBC32.DLL, was not found'
Would anyone know the reason I'm getting this message or where I can download the file.
    Here's hoping,
    Thanks,
    Gerd.

    Download here

Might be an idea to run System File Checker.

If trying what Pete suggests does not work out it may because this may be version specific.

Have you done a file find to see if you do have an odbc32.dll in (usually) c:\windows\system folder. If so what version is it?
    To check:
Right click on it and select "Properties ".

As said any "problems with a download and replace ", give a shout and I can come up with a couple of alternatives.

You may need to install Microsoft Data Access Componets. I am not sure which version you need, but click here and pick your flavor.

ODBC32.DLL is part of Win98se, use SFC to recover it.
Start ... Run ... SFC ... Extract One File From ... key in ODBC32.DLL
Direct it to your WIN98 folder on the CD and it will restore the system file.

    Best
