disc cleanup utility

    Maggie....I have been gone and just read your thread...Do I also delete the default file that is in that folder?

    I didn't do anything extra. I did backup the registry first.

    Disk Clean-up[

    For Maggie and Spoiledroten,

    Spoiled, when you get to the last step, select all the items in the right column and hit delete. The default will not delete. Or at least this is the way I did it and it worked liked a charm.

    sorry to tell you spoilted but you were in the wrong place to do a disk check!
    go to start-my computer- then when you get to drive C RIGHT click there click on Properties- and when the next window opens go to TOOLS- then you will see two Boxes- One for Defrag and the other for Disk cleanup= NOTE!!!!! this takes a very long time and I normally do it just before supper- so it is all finished when I come back- good luck /ace
