Hi. Finding the games installed with XP an irresistable distraction, I proceeded to try to uninstall them by using Add/Remove Windows Components.

This brings up an error message that:

Setup was unable to open information file msnmsn.inf.

    Error code 0 x 2 at line 2088999592.

I was unable to get any further.

    Generally, as Administrator:

Your issue deals with add-ins that are not strictly speaking from XP, but from MSN. In that case, use the following method to remove Games:

Thanks Bill. To be safe do you mind if I copy below the sysoc.inf file as I found it. The Games line already has HIDE missing. Given what you see following, which line/s do I alter/delete? Does this process uninstall the games or merely allow Add/Remove Window Components to work? Bill.
