   When i am tryng to delete or add a programme i am getting the following message, what do i do?
   
   This windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running windows in safe mode, or if windows installer is not installed correctly?
   
   PLEASE HELP

   Is there an error code associated with that error message?
   
   I would normally suggest re-installing Windows Installer, but I guess this will not be possible - you can try.
   
   An alternative solution is given in this MS KB article ....
   
   "The Windows Installer Service Could Not Be Accessed" error message when you install a program in Windows XP
   
   If this is a very recent problem running System Restore may do the trick.
