I have just up-graded to Windows xp and all the pictures I had in My Documents got put in the desktop for wall paper. How can I delete them out of there? I was running Windows me. THANKS

XP accesses the "My Pictures" folder (C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\My Documents\My Pictures) for the desktop background and shows them all in the Background drop-down list.

I finally got tired of looking through everything in that folder to find the background I wanted, so I made another folder in My Documents (I named it "Graphics ") and moved everything I didn't want to use as desktop background into that folder.
