Damnable popups

    Now, when I open my homepage Astronomy Picture of the Day, I get, due to Pop-up-Stopper, a message about some http/..commonname/ etc.asp not working and do I want to continue scripts on this page.
    OK. I get the idea that some creepy program is diverting my opening IE5.5 not only to my home page but also to some mortgage refi page. My question: Are the "orders" for IE5.5 to do this anywhere where I can get at them and delete them? I know they're not at APOD. they're my problem. Where can I find that script and delete it? Thank you in advance for any comments on this problem.
