My curser is giving me problems. It will freeze up for a few seconds, then I have to wait on it to un-freeze. This is about to drive me crazy! Some times when I am typing in word, I have to wait on it when I am trying also. I am using windows xp, and I brought this computer in August 08. It is still under warranty, and when I take it back they tell me that it works fine for them and it is not the computer. They think it may be my printer or scanner that I have hooked up to it that is causing my problem. I un-plugged my HP Deskjet 932C, and also my Canon N670U scanner, but it still does it.
I have a cordless mouse, which I have had for a while and thought maybe that might be the problem. I just want to make sure before I start spending money updating my printer, and scanner and mouse that is my problem. Does anyone have any suggestions that I may try to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

This sort of problem is often caused by some program running in the background that is demanding much of the processor time. Virus scanners are notorious for this. Check yours to see that it only scans when you manually choose to allow it.

Also check Task manager to see if you can identify some other culprit that shows excess processor usage.

    BBS brothers or sisters,

I found out what my problem was. It was my mouse in general. I purchase a new mouse and now I love my computer again!!!! Thank you all for your help.
