Creating a Jar file

Hello;
I have a site that has some games. I would like to know what software would I need to create a jar files. I have all the files and the build instructions but I do not have an executable file to create a jar file. Can anyone offer suggestions?

You can make them from the command console if you have Sun Java installed (I'm assuming that you are trying to create executable Java jar files and not just a jar archive).
