I have Microsoft Works Suite 2001 on my computer [with the XP program].

I could not open an old file, and when I attempted, I was told I had two corrupted registry files. [T'would help if the computer specified the exact two files in question...but, that would be too easy!]

I decided to reinstall the Works Suite 2001, but at one point during installation, I received the same message.

I am comfortable using a computer, but cannot claim to be really competent. I need help.

    Ciao/Pace. Beppo

Beppo - Welcome to the Board :)

I think your best approach is to use System Restore to restore the computer to a date before you tried to open the file. This will restore the registry and system files back to that point.

I reckon a Systems Restore might help you. If you know how to do- that try it & see what happen. If not ask again & we will advice you.
