I have Windows XP on my computer. If I go to C/Documents and Settings/Owner/Favorites, and then right-click Favorites and send Favorites to a floppy disk, could I then take that disk and install those Favorites in a friend's computer by simply putting the floppy disk in his computer? Also, if I buy a new computer, could I put that disk in the new computer and install those Favorites? Thank you for your response.

Yes, but if you "copy" the favorites folder, it will REPLACE the favorites folder. If you want to keep what is in the favorites on the other computers and just "add" yours. In explorer, click on favorites in the left pane, then in the right pane, highlight the first "url ", scroll down, the hold down the shift key, and click on the last "url ". All will be highlighted now. Then move your cursor within the highlight area, right click, send to. Then on the other computers, highlight the same way from the floppy, then drag and drop into the favorites folder.

To aleekat: Thank you for your message. Wouldn't it be easier if, on the other computer, I put the disk in (to his A drive), then imported the file directly to the other computer's Favorites file? Thank you.

I would use the File>>Import/Export function and export to floppy.

Use the import function to another computer and also keep it as a backup.
