    Hi.
Most times I connect to the internet, I cannot disconnect...when I try to shut down it says: "connections tray - the application doesn't answer ".
If I try to manually shut down that application and reboot, Windows Xp always blocks saying "saving your settings ".
What is that? I don't have any viruses or trojans.

    Thank you.

    Hi, paodon.

I'm sorry. I am not familiar with your particular error. :(

I searched via Google for the exact string you quoted above and came up with no results. Are you sure the string you posted exactly matches the error message you saw? Using the exact string in a Google search (including " quotes at both ends of the string) might produce a quick soultion.

I modified my Google search a bit: "connections tray" "the application" answer (including the quotes) and found a couple dozen matches.

Perhaps one of those matches will get you going in the right direction while you wait for a suggestion from someone else.

Please let us know whether or not you find a fix.

paodon--What is your connection to the internet? (cable, dialup, etc.?) Dialup connections very often require that you close the connection separately from Internet Explorer. Use the icon in the Systems Tray. And some dialup connections (like Juno) may give you a little hassle.
Or is it closing Internet Explorer, itself, which is causing the message?

I use a dsl usb modem.
The problem is not Internet Explorer. When I try to disconnect it always blocks, and, if I shut down, it blocks saying "saving your settings ".
