Have had the following problem for a while and don't know how to fix it.

    1. Connect to Outlook Express to get email. Computer connects, collects email, everything fine :)

    2. Close down Outlook Express and, staying connected, launch internet explorer, everything fine :)

    3. After a while, decide to go back to Outlook Express to check email again, but as soon as I launch it or attempt to send/received mail, my connection dies

    Hellllllllppppp!!!!!!!!

In Outlook Express, look under Tools>Options>Connections tab and make sure "Hang up after sending and receiving" isn't checked. If it is, uncheck it and see if that clears up the problem.

Thanks a lot for replying. Unfortunately what you recommended didn't help!! I ended up phoning customer support at my server and have sorted it out. Had to check/uncheck a few boxes. It was all done so fast I can hardly remember what I did. But thank god it is working fine now!
