My problem is that most of the time (at least 80%), I cannot maintain a usable connection to one specific site (it is 'Juza Nature Photography'); if I am able to connect, the connection terminates abruptly: I'll click to go to another page, or to return to the page I had just visited, and nothing (no green progress bar) appears in my status bar and eventually I get a "Cannot find server" error message. If I have two windows open to this site--one where I logged in, another the specific page I'd opened--first I get an error message for the current page, and in a minute or so the other window changes to an error message.

This does not happen with any other site I regularly visit. I've asked the people at this site, and my problem appears to be idiosyncratic: he's not doing site maintenance at the time I usually visit, others do not have the same problem, etc. I've tried visiting at various times, but no pattern of 'yes-logged-in' or 'cannot-find-server' corresponds to the time of day.

I am running XPpro (SP2), using SlimBrowser (I just updated the version, but there's no change in my problem) --which is a front end for IE. I'm using IE6. The problem is the same if I use just IE6, and I downloaded and tried another IE-based browser, but that didn't help, either. I made sure that my IE is set to "automatically detect settings" (no change in problem).

Here are URLs from which I'm disconnected: http://www.juzaforum.com/forum-en/index.php?sid=ec8b2261f2bfc4f0ec7111f33c95a970 is the forum menu after I log in (when I can get logged in). The next level in is http://www.juzaforum.com/forum-en/viewforum.php?f=4 , the particular forum I use most often (when I can). Sometimes I can open the site window but can't log in; sometimes I can log in but can't go to the next page; sometimes I can get logged in and to a page I want to visit and then lose the connection.

I'd very much appreciate knowing a process to follow to troubleshoot this. Another person on windowsbbs with the same problem at another site said he'd found another ip address for his problematic site, but I don't know how to find an alternate ip address; I googled it and found a variety of things that don't quite apply. Please help; I'll be very grateful!

    Thanks for your help.

I had already contacted him by e-mail; nothing that he was aware of was happening that would cause my problem: no site maintenance, no special things that would privilege one kind of browser over another, etc.

If I'm lucky, the trouble he was having with his server on Monday is the trouble I've been having with it for a few weeks. I'll post back in either case.

Edit: I just logged in there; login was successful, I was able to get to a page from the forum menu, but then, right after I clicked on a "reply" button, the site became unresponsive to everything I did. So, as far as I am concerned, there has been no change in my problem.
