    Hello All~

I was taken by surprise when yesterday my computer rebooting all by itself....I had several Windows opened....Paint Shop Pro, IncrediMail, and a few IEs....I had just closed IM and a couple of IE windows when this happened.

When the computer restarted this error message came up:
    BCC Code:1000008C BCP1:C0000047 BCP2: 80512B50 BCP3: EBA33B4 BCP4: 00000000
    OSVER 5_1_2600 Sp:2_0 Product 768_1

    Files included in errror report:
    C:\DOCUME~11|AL'S\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WERC788.dir00\Mini042305-01.dmp
    " " " " " " \sysdata.xml

Does this mean my HD is failing or there was a bad memory glitch...or what.....I have never had this happen before...there was no warning...it just rebooted.

My computer is an Intel P4 2.8Ghz with 512MB DDR RAM, running WinXP SP2.

    Thanks very much,
    SusieB

It appears some program did a nasty and Windows decided to throw a fit. When this happens windows should follow the settings in "Startup and Recovery ".

    The - C:\DOCUME~11|AL'S\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WERC788.dir00\Mini 42305-01.dmp
    " " " " " " \sysdata.xml - - is the "Mini Dump" that logs an error before the system reboots.

Windows defaults to a "mini dump" and "reboot on error ". These settings are in "Startup and Recovery" area of system properties (advanced).

That file may tell you what the offending warez was that caused the reboot.
