My computer is full of viruses. When I run avg, it can't get rid of them as they are in crucial files. I've tried housecall & updating my patches to no effect. Windows 2000 now doesn't boot up (I have to access through task manager)and any pictures/pages on the internet I look at are 'grainy' or the pictures look like negatives. Thought I'd format the hard drive & load windows again but it won't let me do that. Completely frustrated and fed up. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

If you want to format , go to Bootdisk's, and get the file(s) that will create a boot floppy for you. Use it to format the drive, enable write protection on the floppy before inserting into the infected computer. You can see through both holes when enabled.
