Can any tell me how to get a full screen cmd window in window vista? My wife still uses "Professional Write ", an old dos program that worked fine in windows xp.

You can drag it out in the usual way, probably not what you are looking for, or select the square in the top right, as in XP. But Vista has no link to DOS. A pure DOS program cannot be made to run in it, even under compatibility mode. Suggestion is that maybe she could, meanwhile, get on with Wordpad, which has most of the old DOS word processor capabilities?

I was just playing around with the command window and found that you can run command.com as well as cmd.exe.

Right clicking on the icon on the left side of the title bar will give you the Properties of the window - and you may be able to adjust it from there.
