    Hi,

I am trying to do a clean boot and I'm 95% there. The remaining 5% doesn't allow me to kill services (processes). Everytime I try to kill it, im given the error message as access denied and yet I am the administrator. The following files are:

    mspmspv.exe
    mdm.exe
    and winmgmt.exe

How do i kill them temporarily??

    Heliux :D

mdm.exe - go into services and set the machine debug manager startup to disabled.

winmgmt.exe - services again and set Windows Management Instrumentation startup to disabled. But you really might not want to stop this one from running. In addition to the event log and RPC service not running without it, quite a bit of other stuff will either fail or run poorly/strangely.

mspmspv.exe - WMDM PMSP service (also known as Windows Media Device Manager Pre-Message Security Protocol Service) - not sure on this one. If you have it listed among your services, then same as for the other two. Otherwise you may be able to locate it in the control panel somewhere (sound stuff maybe) and disable it from there.
