Is there a way to restore default "open with" settings for hotmail/yahoo mail?

I did an internet search before posting. The problem is my wife's hard drive crashed; so, we bought a new one (configured) with Windows 7. The new hard drive did not come with an Office program installed. When my wife went to open one of her received emails (Hotmail) it came up and asked what she wanted to use to open the email. Unfortunately she selected the wrong option and did not unclick the "always use this to open" block. So now, she cannot open any emails; because, that option was applied to her yahoo mail account as well. I am trying to un-do what she did and figured the best way would be to do a default reset (if I knew how to and if that is possible). I went to the Folder Options and looked for a mailview extension but could not locate it thinking I could reset it there. So now I am asking for help from forum users to resolve this problem.

 

You might try a System Restore back to a date before she made the change.
