CD Player

    A friend of mine used to use the CD Player program (Start>Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>CD Player) and now all of a sudden when he opens it, instead of launching the application, the control panel window opens up.

    Any idea what this problem might be pls ?

    The easiest way to fix this is to Restart in Dos Mode and type this in at the prompt.
    scanreg /restore <enter>
    Pick a backed up registry dated before this occurred, press enter and reboot.
