Can't install Word 2000 updates WinXP

Recently I had to reinstall Office 2000. I downloaded all Office 2000 updates, but I was unable to install the following Word, Outlook and Excel updates.

Word 2000 Update: October 16, 2002
Word 2000 Update: April 25, 2002
Word 2000 Security Update: Macro Vulnerability May I, 2001
Word 2000 Update: Mail Merge Security, October 3, 2002
Outlook 2000 SR-1 Update: Extended E-mail Security, June 26, 2001
Excel 2000 SR1 Macro Modification Security Update: April 25, 2002
Excel 2000 Update: June 19, 2002

I get the message "Update cannot be applied."

I have installed all Windows XP critical updates.

What is causing this?

As I mentioned in my original post, I had already install all Office 2000 updates before I attempted to install the Word updates.

I check out the troubleshooting information at the update site and nothing there helped either.

 

So that's it!! I hadn't read all the accompanying information for each update. I'll do that in the future. Thanks..
