Can't find @ instead "

    I am installing a new drive. On the second version of XP the keyboard will not produce the @ symbol so I can't send eMail:( I hadthis years ago but I have forgotten the cure!

    Eric - Welcome to the Board :)

    Sounds like you are in the UK :) By default XP installs the US keyboard - change it to UK in Control Panel > Regional & Language Options > Languages > Details.

    Thanks. I knew it was something simple and I have made the suggested change. It now works fine.

    I now have a problem finding drivers which didn't re-boot with the new XP.
    I'll get there!

    You're welcome :) As I recall the two keys are switched - on a US keyboard the @ is on Shift + 2. You would have found it there!
