When I started Windows 98, I received a message statement:
(The display setting is incorrect or your display adapter doesn't match your hardware setting). I can't change my screen resolution or color. I'm currently set at 640 b 480 pixels and 16 colors. At one time it was set at 600 x 800 and 256 color. I don't what happen, but I can't change it now. Please Help!

Sounds like your video drivers are shot.

Look in the Device Manager and see if there is a problem with the display adapter. You will probably have to reinstall or update the drivers for your video card.
